Tight Lines, <\/p>\n\n\n\n 1\/9\/2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n Starting the year off with some Steelheading <\/strong>on the Trinity River.<\/strong> With most rivers blown out due to all the rain, the Trinity<\/strong> remained fishable. Water was high but we had steady bite all day. Cold winter time fishing was rewarded with a beautiful wild California Steelhead<\/strong> and Sea Run Brown<\/strong>! Yes, they do exist! Tight lines,<\/p>\n\n\n\n Had to warp up the year on my home water, the LA Wall<\/strong>! Robbie and I went out in search of some final catches for the year. The Harbor<\/strong> never disappoints! Solid Calico Bass<\/strong> fishing all morning. What a great way to end the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tight lines,<\/p>\n\n\n\n Off to Catalina Island <\/strong>with Capt Vaughn Podmore<\/strong> of Salty Fly Guide Service t<\/strong>oday. Goal was to grab a few Bonito<\/strong>! This fish is made for fly rods. Hard hitting, fast swimming and great tugs! Such a great day on the water! Thanks Capt. Vaughn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tight lines,<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fished the famous MDR wall<\/strong> this morning. Wow, what a great session! Solid bite on Calico Bass <\/strong>and Opal Eye<\/strong>! None stop action on 7 and 8 wt rods, they really got a work out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tight lines,<\/p>\n\n\n\n Off to Hopedale Louisiana <\/strong>to chase huge Jacks<\/strong> and giant Redfis<\/strong>h. Back at the Dogwood Lodge <\/strong>and fishing with Capt. Greg Moon<\/strong>! Weather got us, so we only fished day and a half out of our three day trip.
