Spent the morning on the California Delta with Capt. Steve Santucci! We found a cold and foggy morning ahead of us, but that’s winter time fishing! Nice steady pick at them all morning, missed few and grabbed a few. Always a great time on the water with Capt. Steve, a true legend in our sport and a true gentleman!

Starting the year off with some Steelheading on the Trinity River. With most rivers blown out due to all the rain, the Trinity remained fishable. Water was high but we had steady bite all day. Cold winter time fishing was rewarded with a beautiful wild California Steelhead and Sea Run Brown! Yes, they do exist!

Had to warp up the year on my home water, the LA Wall! Robbie and I went out in search of some final catches for the year. The Harbor never disappoints! Solid Calico Bass fishing all morning. What a great way to end the year.

Off to Catalina Island with Capt Vaughn Podmore of Salty Fly Guide Service today. Goal was to grab a few Bonito! This fish is made for fly rods. Hard hitting, fast swimming and great tugs! Such a great day on the water! Thanks Capt. Vaughn.

Fished the famous MDR wall this morning. Wow, what a great session! Solid bite on Calico Bass and Opal Eye! None stop action on 7 and 8 wt rods, they really got a work out.

Off to Hopedale Louisiana to chase huge Jacks and giant Redfish. Back at the Dogwood Lodge and fishing with Capt. Greg Moon! Weather got us, so we only fished day and a half out of our three day trip. Robbie joined me on this trip and got to pull on some real monsters!

Had the chance to fish with John on Sherwood Lake! Wow what an amazing experience. All poppers all morning! This was a true treat chasing Large Mouth Bass. Big thank you to a great friend!
